Escondido Golf & Lake Club

11.12.2022

Danielle and Matt chose the breathtaking Escondido Lake and Golf Club as the venue for their wedding, with the decision driven by the stunning views of the golf course, and the cherished memories they had created together at the club throughout the years of Danielle’s family being members. From the moment they laid eyes on the venue, they envisioned a wedding that would harmonize with the natural surroundings while bringing their personal touches to reflect the essence of the November season.

The ceremony took place on an overlook, providing a picturesque backdrop of the sprawling golf course. They chose a circular arch to symbolize everlasting unity that was adorned with lush white blooms, and contrasting greenery. Danielle graced the scene in a gown covered with delicate beading/detailing and she draped herself in a fur wrap. Matt exuded timeless charm in a tailored tuxedo, specially crafted and monogrammed with their wedding date on the collar, and a Brackish bowtie fashioned from a blend of green and black feathers.

The wedding invitation, crafted by Pink Champagne Designs, showcased a classic wedding crest that would later reappear in a more refined form on the dance floor. The suite also featured touches of smilax greenery which were mirrored at the reception – smilax covered the tent ceiling!

Upon entering the reception, guests were greeted by an exquisite display of alternating white velvet and patterned linens paired with stark black napkins to capture attention. Along the long dinner tables, lush greenery runners intertwined with delicate white blooms and candlelight, while the round tables were finished off with either a floral centerpiece or a large ‘tree-like’ arrangement. Gypsy truly helped us to feel like the tent was nonexistent, and like the guests were having dinner under a nature-filled canopy. Another star of the reception design was the enchanting string lights that lined the tent ceiling, casting a glow reminiscent of a starry night. Even after the sunset, the captivating atmosphere remained intact, allowing guests to relish in every intricate detail. For a more intimate experience, the bride and groom sat at a sweetheart table, welcoming guests who approached to share their well wishes throughout dinner!

While The Nightowls band kept the dance floor full of energy throughout the night, the standout vendor to me was the live event painter, Hannah Paints Events, who truly brought the couples First Dance to life. The interactive nature of this activity was entertaining for guests, impressive, and lives on as a permanent memory of the wedding night in the bride and groom’s home!

As the night drew to a close, the couple was celebrated one last time with a New Orleans Second Line send-off that lead them to their getaway car – a baby blue 1966 Mustang. As they drove off, their path was illuminated by gerbs from Big Dog Pyro – One last surprise for the guests, and one last moment for the bride and groom!

Overall, Danielle and Matt’s wedding was a beautiful and intimate celebration, perfectly complementing both the venue and the spirit of the season. From the vibrant greenery to the meticulously incorporated black accents, every facet of the event was perfectly executed by our outstanding vendor team. Working with Danielle and Matt was a true honor, and seeing their day come to life was beyond fulfilling. Cheers to The Volks!

XOXO,

Tessa
