Hyatt Lost Pines

When Stephanie and I first met, she wasn’t quite sure what she wanted her wedding design to look like, she had multiple different styles that she liked, but was ready to bring all ideas into a complete design with me. Luckily we were able to pull elements from different design ideas to make a cohesive design that we took through our planning process! We used details from the invitations as our North star for our wedding day color scheme and created a cohesive design that couldn’t have been more perfect. She knew that she wanted her florals to be mainly neutral greenery with pops of color, so we decided to mix in blues and pinks to achieve this goal. We incorporated those colors by placing pink tones in the florals, and the blues notes came in through the rentals.

The venue is very rustic, and Stephanie wanted to try as hard as we could to make it feel less rustic, and more attune with her style. We brought in some great linens, and napkins, and had a few lovely floral focal points from Truth and Blooms that took the focus off of the wooden accents, and instead made everyone see much more color. The ceremony was held on the Hillsong Lawn with the gorgeous pine trees in the background, then we moved over to their pavilion area for the rest of the night. The weather was perfect, and we had constant views of the river and those beautiful trees.

Stephanie and Jim grew up in the same hometown, so it was super fun to work with their families. They all had known each other for years, and it was a super tight-knit group – family and friends that were just guests! They decided not to have a formal wedding party, and instead just stand at the altar the two of them, I think that this added such a special intimate feeling for the both of them.

Stephanie and Jim made every detail super special – custom styrofoam cups for guests to use all weekend, champagne upon arrival to the ceremony, s’mores kits for the kids, and Chick-Fil-A as a late-night snack! They were such a fun couple to work with. The unwavering trust in me as a planner and the big picture idea of the wedding gave a relaxed feel and made the process for all involved truly special.
