Mattie’s

1.8.22

Paige and Riley were SUCH a joy to work with throughout the entire planning process. They both had a very clear vision for their wedding and Paige’s eye as an interior designer definitely came in handy. The pair knew that they wanted a colorful wedding and turned to their florals to bring those extra pops of color. They wanted to incorporate colors and flowers that aren’t typically seen in winter weddings, and that is exactly what we did!

Paige and Riley both loved the traditional southern feel of Mattie’s, and many of their design elements played off of the venue’s preexisting decor. The use of hydrangea, the French blue dance floor, and their stationery all tied into the feel of Mattie’s that they loved. The tent draping and southern style place settings enhanced this even further.

While the couple loves color, we decided to keep their ceremony more neutral as to maintain the traditional southern elegance that they were going for. The addition of color at their reception was the perfect way to set a fun and playful tone for the rest of the night.

130 of Paige and Riley’s loved ones joined them for their special day. While looking at their guests, it was so clear how happy they were to be celebrating this lovely couple. Each detail of the day was thoughtfully planned, including the addition of two empty chairs at the ceremony to represent Riley’s parents who had both passed.

The romantic and intimate reception was the perfect follow-up to their sweet ceremony; Paige’s father made a speech and Riley was able to share a dance with his younger sister, Katie. Once their band, Matchmaker, started playing, all of the guests were on the dance floor and kept it busy all night long. Rounds of espresso martinis and brandy freezes were brought out towards the end of the night, which really kept the fun going.

Paige and Riley did not miss a single detail during the planning process and had such a good handle on their design vision, personal touches, and day-of details. Every single detail was thought out and had purpose.

I loved hearing from their family and friends just how wonderful this couple is. Each of them has strong roots, and they are even better together. It was so fun to see our vision come to life, and it was always a joy to work with them leading up to the big day.

Thank you to all of the amazing vendors who came together to create this picture perfect wedding!
