Marcella and Cooper had the most amazing wedding weekend at Rosewood Mayakoba, and I will forever remember it as one of my favorite weddings to be a part of. The wedding day itself was absolutely beautiful (more on that soon), but designing the Friday rehearsal dinner was such a fun part of the weekend. Marcella knew she wanted the wedding design to feel more neutral and subtle, so she made the Friday night dinner bold, colorful, and FUN.

One of my favorite parts was the entrance into La Ceiba Gardens, which PS Flower Studio brought to life perfectly. Marcella wanted it to feel bright and eye-catching, with local fruits incorporated as a nod to welcoming guests to Mexico for the weekend. It definitely made an impression—so many hotel guests stopped by during setup just to admire everything coming together.

Another standout detail was the personalized papel picado hung throughout the ceiling of La Ceiba Gardens. It was such a perfect mix of heritage and decor, and it was so fun watching guests realize that each piece said “Marcella + Cooper.” It added a layer of personality while still keeping the overall feel relaxed and inviting, which worked so well in the space.

I also have to mention the menu style at La Ceiba Gardens. The open-air kitchen allows guests to watch their meals being prepared, which made the whole experience feel really interactive. The food was incredibly fresh, and highlighting local ingredients added such a great, authentic touch. It truly felt like an immersive experience and was such a fun addition for the guests (and selfishly, for me to watch).

This night was the perfect way to kick off an already incredible wedding weekend. From heartfelt speeches to guests settling in and connecting, to seeing the full design come to life in such a special setting—it was all so memorable. I feel so honored to have been a part of it, and I can’t wait to share more from Marcella and Cooper’s wedding day.
