The Arlo

5.28.2023

Madison was a bride who dreamed about her wedding day for her entire life. She had such an amazing vision when we first met, and I knew from the get-go that we were going to plan a beautiful wedding. Madison and Bryce met in college at Ole Miss, and Bryce knew after their first date that he wanted to marry Madison. They were the sweetest couple to work with, and it was such a joy to witness their love, not only for each other, but for their family and friends. It was evident throughout the entire weekend that they had an amazing support system around them!

From the beginning, Madison and Bryce knew that they wanted to prioritize two things – an amazing dance party with their friends and family, and a thoughtfully designed wedding to create the perfect atmosphere. Madison’s favorite color is pink, so we leaned into that throughout the design! One fun design element that you might notice is the ‘ombre’ effect that we incorporated at The Arlo. The ceremony at the front of the venue was all white. This allowed us to have a very classic, traditional feel for the formal ceremony. The middle of the venue, where the majority of the reception was held, was designed with light pink and gold. As you went to the back lawn of the venue where we held cocktail hour, the color deepened to a hot pink seen in the florals

The all-white ceremony was absolutely breathtaking. Bouquets of Austin elevated the room entirely by bringing in white cherry blossom trees to frame the altar. We brought in a white stage from Mike’s Dance Floor Rentals for Madison and Bryce to stand on so that all guests could see the ceremony details from their seats. All of these details brightened the space and were the perfect addition to the window-filled ceremony space. When thinking back on the details of the reception, there was not a missing piece! Madison and Bryce brought in stunning pink and white furniture from Perch Event Rentals to fill the space. If I had to pick three favorite details from the reception, I would reflect on the cake from Michelle’s Patisserie, the round bar floral installation, and the band stage

The grandiose wedding cake was a moment of its own. Madison and Bryce had the baker place acrylic tiers in between the wedding cake to elevate the height which made such a statement. We even had pink peonies in each layer to have the perfect pop of pink on the cake, along with an elegant silk bow that hung down the front of the cake.

The main bar at the reception was absolutely stunning. Perch brought in their large round bar to serve our large guest count with the couple’s monogram placed on the center of the bar. The florals that hung from the venue’s chandelier were the moment of the reception. Throughout the planning process, we continually called this our ‘floral tornado‘ and Bouquets of Austin did not disappoint. The florals went from floor to ceiling, and were the perfect addition to the bar. Another great way to bring pink glamorous accents to the reception!

The band stage was another huge focal point of the reception because we knew that the guests would be spending the majority of their evening on the dance floor. Drywater Band had a huge floral backdrop on their stage full of white and pink roses to bring color to a large space in the venue. This was the best way to make the room feel perfectly balanced with installations, color, and ‘wow’ moments!

My honorable mention favorite addition at the wedding was the alcove room that we transformed into ‘Rafters’ – the groom’s favorite bar from college! This was such a hit with all of the Ole Miss alumni, and was the perfect way to give Bryce his dedicated room at the wedding. We brought in a custom Rafters sign, had whiskey coke served in cowboy boot glasses, and tables full of Bryce’s favorite foods. Needless to say, this was a popular space with the guests!

Madison and Bryce were so fun to be around on their wedding day because of their contagious love for one another. It truly was an honor to work with both of them to plan their perfect wedding day, and I loved seeing all of their visions come to life! Cheers to The Echols and many years of love and happiness!

Tessa
