The Four Seasons

10.15.2022

Bari and Ken always knew they wanted their wedding to be timeless, clean, and elegant. It was so fun to design this wedding because classic weddings can sometimes stick to the white and green color palette, but Bari & Ken knew that they wanted to have more of a glamorous outlook on their design. We took this idea and brought it to life with all things white and pops of champagne. One of my favorite design aspects of this wedding was the bows that you’ll see throughout Bari’s dress, the invitation, and some of the day-of details (Bryker & Co)!

Bari and Ken got married under beautiful Four Seasons trees that were dressed with luscious white blooms and romantic chandeliers. Ken wore a white dinner jacket that looked perfect with Bari’s dress and the flowers. They both visually popped against their green nature-filled background. They had a beautiful ceremony that was performed by Ken’s Dad which gave a very personal look into the bride and groom’s relationship.

Our approach to the reception decor was centered around the canopy of twinkle lights over the dinner tables, done by ILIOS Productions, which created a beautiful glow when the sun went down. We kept all of the flowers from Bouquets of Austin bright white and had minimal greenery with the addition of a glam head table linen! To add to the romance, the guest tables were filled with candles, and the head table was lined with dramatic tall candelabras. After dinner service ended, all guests were invited inside the ballroom to dance the night away with the Drywater Band!

In the dancing space, we included a gorgeous white dance floor with gold monogramming and rounded stairs that led to the stage. The stairs were very convenient when the wedding party joined the band on stage to celebrate Bari & Ken! Surrounding the lively dance floor we placed elegant lounge furniture consisting of mixed-matched couches, tete-a-tetes, and lounge-style chairs from Bella Acento to create an inviting atmosphere that still felt posh. Guest activations adorned the ballroom, including an ice cream station, coffee bar, photo booth (Say Cheese), and a surprise mariachi band (Mariachi Amor). The band was a planned surprise for the father of the bride who LOVES mariachi. His reaction when the crew entered the ballroom was priceless.

Drywater Band kept the dance floor absolutely packed throughout the night. Guests lifted our bride and groom up in the air dancing and singing along while wearing light-up cowboy hats – we had to give the guests a warm welcome to Texas somehow! At the end of the night, we sent Bari & Ken off through a tunnel of rose petals, and they drove off in a vintage car – a prized possession of the bride’s grandfathers that was driven down all the way from Chicago.

Bari and Ken’s wedding day was perfect… #OneInAMill if you will!

XOXO,
Tessa
