The Argyle

10/18/2025

There are venues, and then there is The Argyle. For those who haven’t had the pleasure, this San Antonio gem is unlike anything else — every room tells a different story, decorated with intention and wrapped in a kind of beauty that makes you stop and take it all in. It was the perfect stage for Elizabeth and Will’s wedding, and honestly, the building alone could have carried the day. But what unfolded was so much more than architecture.

It started with Sue. When Mother of the Bride Sue Arnim first reached out, she casually mentioned she’d be working with me to plan both of her daughters’ weddings — Elizabeth’s in the fall at The Argyle, and younger sister Emily’s in Austin the following year. What she didn’t mention, because she couldn’t have known, is how completely I would fall in love with this entire family. The Arnims, along with soon-to-be husbands Will and Riley, are simply the kind of people who make this work feel like a gift.

Elizabeth and Will are incredibly thoughtful and kind people — and because of that, no one wanted to miss their wedding. And no one did. Guests came from all over to celebrate this couple, and with around 350 of them filling every corner of The Argyle, the energy was electric from the moment they arrived. Our job was to make sure each and every one of them felt the love right back — and I truly believe we did.

The florals, designed by Statue of Design, were nothing short of a sensory explosion — rich textures, bold patterns, and layered blooms that felt lush and romantic without ever losing their sense of artistry. For the escort card display, we collaborated with Townsley on something custom and unforgettable: a wall made of maracas and tambourines that nodded beautifully to San Antonio’s spirit and set the tone for the night ahead.

Dinner was a plated affair spread across every room at The Argyle — and true to the venue’s character, no two rooms were alike. Each space had its own linens, tabletop design, and stationery, all thoughtfully curated to feel cohesive with the room it lived in. It was layered, personal, and wildly beautiful.

Then came the flip. As dinner wound down, mariachis began to roam from room to room, leading Elizabeth and Will through The Argyle like a procession — signaling that the dancing was about to begin. Meanwhile, an incredible team of vendors had exactly one hour to transform the lawn into a full reception space. The coordination required was extraordinary: Perch, Statue of Design, Austin Event Lighting, The Argyle team, and so many others working in seamless communication to pull off what felt like a magic trick. And they did it — flawlessly.

Congratulations to Elizabeth and Will. This wedding was a reflection of exactly who you are — generous, joyful, and deeply loved.

XOXO,

Becky
