One of my favorite parts of our job is getting to be the FIRST, the very FIRST wedding or event in a brand new space. For Caroline and Russell, we had the honor of being the first wedding at the stunning new Thompson & Hanson Farm. Created by Baron and Lance, the minds behind Tiny Boxwoods and Milk & Cookies in Austin and Houston, this La Grange venue is tucked just off the highway, making it an easy drive for guests from both cities.

The celebration began as guests were shuttled from Austin to La Grange, setting the tone for a beautiful day ahead. As the evening unfolded, guests enjoyed the charm of this brand new property layered with personal touches that reflected Caroline and Russell’s vision. Every joyful moment and gorgeous detail was captured flawlessly by photographer Whit McGuire, ensuring this first wedding at Thompson+Hanson Farm will be remembered forever.

Caroline and Russell are truly such an amazing, kind, and caring couple, it was such a joy to work with them and to get to know the wonderful Page family along the way. Their reception was held outdoors, where long wooden tables were set beneath a dreamy canopy of festoon lights provided by Austin Event Lighting. Surrounded by family, friends, the glow of the evening, and captivating music by Castle Hill Quartet & the Dart Collective, the celebration felt nothing short of magical.

Kudos to Thompson & Hanson Farm for delivering the most incredible food and service. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience for their very first wedding. The weather on the farm was exquisite, and we were so fortunate to be surrounded by such talented vendors. Gypsy Floral brought our vision to life flawlessly with their stunning arrangements, adding the finishing touches of beauty to the day.

To close out the night, guests showered the newlyweds with rose petals before Caroline and Russell made their grand exit in a vintage Cadillac Eldorado. Making for a picture perfect sendoff for such an enchanting day. It was a truly a breathtaking wedding and an evening to remember forever!
