Planning Bjorn’s 50th birthday was SO fun from start to finish. Molly reached out to Pearl Events with this great vision already forming, and her excitement was contagious.

A Gatsby theme fit Bjorn perfectly because he loves a big, bold moment, so we ran with a red, black, gold, and white color palette that gave everything this dramatic, high energy vibe. Once that was set, everything was complemented with feathers, pearls, and sequins. Bouquets of Austin helped craft our vision!

Some of the details we added are still my favorite parts of the whole night. Guests walked down a red carpet as they entered the Chapel, so the party started the second they arrived. Inside, we had red velvet draping by UDE, a martini glass aerialist performing above the crowd (such a showstopper!), blackjack tables that stayed busy all night, a champagne tower, and flapper girls bringing the full 1920s spirit to life. And of course, Commodore Perry Estate gave the whole night that luxe, Gatsby feel.

Bjorn’s 50th ended up being one of those events where everything just clicked. So much joy, so much personality, and so many moments everyone will be talking about for a long time.
