From the very beginning, Moranda had a clear vision for her wedding day, a celebration blending timeless Southern charm with the eclectic, art-forward character of Austin Proper Hotel. Inspired by the couple’s engagement in South Carolina, we leaned into a refined garden aesthetic layered with thoughtful details that felt both personal and perfectly at home in the venue’s distinctive design.

The ceremony took place against a whimsical backdrop of layered greenery that extended into soft blooms atop stunning Mrs. Alice pedestals. This setting allowed the architecture and natural light of Proper’s event space to shine while framing the couple in an organic, romantic setting. Moranda carried classic calla lilies, a nod to the elegant simplicity that carried throughout the day.

For the reception, guests were welcomed into a warm, inviting room anchored by a caterpillar-style seating arrangement that encouraged connection and conversation. Textured and patterned linens, chinoiserie-inspired vessels, and airy floral compositions created a layered tablescape that balanced Southern garden romance with Proper’s bold interior palette. Blush and green paper goods and custom details added softness and continuity throughout the design.

As evening settled in, the space transformed into an intimate dinner party atmosphere, complete with glowing candlelight, a pink and white checkered dance floor, and the joyful energy that defined Moranda and Stanley’s celebration from start to finish.

Their wedding was a beautiful reflection of place and story: Southern roots, Austin style, and a day that felt effortlessly them.
