I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Yvette for over 15 years. We first met in 2010 when her daughter Alyssa hired me to plan her wedding. That’s when I got to know Yvette, Alyssa, David, and their wonderful Mariposa family. Since then, I’ve worked with Yvette almost every year to plan Realty Austin’s corporate events, her birthday parties, and any fun celebration she had in mind.

Over time, I’ve come to know Yvette as a strong, thoughtful, fun, and incredibly kind person. One moment that sticks out: we were sitting in a Realty Austin office planning their annual party when Yvette was clearly glowing. She was giggling and couldn’t stop smiling. I finally asked, “What is going on?” She said, “I met someone!” That was the first time she mentioned Tyson.

From there, I watched their relationship grow—from Instagram posts to traveling together and eventually getting engaged at Uchi. I sent her a quick congratulations DM, and she immediately replied, “Let’s get planning!”

Tyson wanted a short engagement, so things moved quickly. They looked at a few venues, but I had a feeling Commodore Perry would be the right fit. It was perfect—especially since Tyson has a connection with the chefs, Susan and Bradley, who collaborated with them on the food and drinks.

Yvette is known for throwing EPIC parties, and their wedding was no exception. Top-notch food stations including Uchi (of course!), fun seating by Perch, bright colors brought in with Aryn Graves stationery, Nuage linens, and Bouquets of Austin florals, and a lively atmosphere—it felt exactly like them. The entire day was full of energy, personality, and love.
