Horseshoe Bay Resort

10.30.21

Macey and Myles came to Pearl with the idea of throwing an extravagant wedding that encompassed their classic style with their own Texas touches! Their original wedding date was during Covid, so delaying this celebration meant that they were ready to commemorate their love with friends and family.

Our trips to Horseshoe Bay were one of my personal highlights during the planning process. We did site visits where we were able to map out the exact layout and design together in the space. This proved to be very beneficial when translating the design from paper to real life.

The day started with many bubbles and laughs between the bridesmaids getting ready with the bride. Black and white is an overarching theme for the day, and we see this trickle down to the perfectly chic bridesmaid PJs. The groomsmen got ready all together and completed their look with matching green ties with Myles having a classic bow tie.

Guests were greeted at the water front ceremony with pedestals of white and green overflowing arrangements, with a perfect view of beautiful palm trees and the special spot for Macey & Myles. Our ring security gave an unforgettable entrance and made sure that he was on duty for the bride and groom. Once the bridesmaids and groomsmen were in place, the draping was pulled back for the grand entrance when Macey walked down with her father. The ceremony concluded with Myles’s brother singing a song to the couple, and then were promptly announced husband and wife!

Reception began with the wedding party entrance followed by the announcement of the new “Mr. & Mrs. Purdom”. They all took their seats at the custom built trellis, done by the family’s personal decorator, adorned with florals at the pinnacle and hanging chandeliers that elevated a typical wedding party head table. Guest tables were centered with a custom white tree structure that nested a lush arrangements.

Once the dinner concluded, and all of the special dances wrapped, the party was set to begin. Groove Knight Band knows how to get a crowd dancing. A lot of the dancers from the evening were friends from the bride and grooms TCU days, and they were proud to show it! Macey and Myles chose to have a private last dance, which was such a sweet moment that we utilized to set up a send off surprise for Myles. The brides family brought in their Ranch Polaris and the brides sister decked out the gator with ribbons and petals. Myles’s face when he saw the surprise was pure excitement and couldn’t wait to drive his wife out in true Texas style.

This was such a memorable wedding for me, and I couldn’t have been more happy with how the day went and the photos came out reflecting the picture perfect day! Congratulations to Macey & Myles, I hope that you have a lifetime of happy memories!!

Madison
