My second job besides Pearl and being a mom is being the ZTA recruitment advisor at the University of Texas! It’s my 12th year as an advisor there and the best part of my job is meeting amazing young women. It’s a great honor of mine when they reach out to Pearl Events to plan their wedding! Avery is one of those ZTA’s! I got to know Avery incredibly well during college and it was so cool to be a part of her wedding.

One thing about Avery is that she loves pink! It was no surprise to me that both her bridesmaids dresses and bouquets were her favorite color. Shortly after getting ready, Avery and Austin shared the most touching moment as they did their first look together.

For their ceremony, the two got married in Houston at the Memorial Drive Methodist Church and then had their reception at the Lakeside Country Club. Their reception was absolutely gorgeous! We brought her garden party dream together with Events in Bloom. A mix of ginger votives with pink blooms and the MOST MAGICAL hanging install of tulips and glass bubbles over the head table was absolutely breathtaking.One of my favorite design elements was her free-standing, massive, and beautifully made arrangements on acrylic podiums throughout the reception. It gave the space such a bright and open feel that left everyone in awe. To add to all of this, Avery changed into a lovely reception dress that completely tied the look together.

Avery and Austin had both a simplistic elegant cake, and a creative fun one. The Bevo cake was definitely a fan favorite of the night. After cake cutting, it was time to party! Drywaters Production was our band for the night they killed it. Everyone was up and dancing and the bridal party even got up on stage with the band at one point.

The newlyweds ended the night in the most special way by having a get away car ready for them. The two drove away as sparks flew around them! I was so happy to be able to attend the party as a guest and Kailee took the reins of the Final Details planning. Congrats Aves!
