When choosing colors for your wedding we recommend gold for so many reasons. Gold has a way of complimenting other colors in a sophisticated way and can bring a sense of elegance to an wedding!

Whitney and Michael were married this February at the Allan House.  Whitney and I had our first meeting over the phone and she talked about how she wanted a dance party… girl, did she have a dance party!  It was EPIC!  I knew it was going to be a good party when the toasts came around and the crowd started chanting “HOY, HOY, HOY, HOY” the groom’s last name.  This was foreshadowing a big dance crowd that was soon to come.  The guests enjoyed food from Royal Fig and amazing wedding cake and a dessert bar from Bake Sale.  Then came the party…Anthony from Greenbelt DJ rocked it!! Shirtless groomsmen + groom = awesome dance party.  Check out the photos below from the super sweet Jenny DeMarco which include florals from Bouquets of Austin.  Shout out to Whitney for DIYing custom lottery ticket place cards and that custom backdrop for the ceremony.  She worked on sewing the fabric pieces together for 6 months!!

Marissa and Todd are cute, plus they are both twins! How awesome is that? I had the chance to know them and their family through a few different avenues in life. We worked on Lindsay’s, Marissa’s twin, wedding in September at Barton Creek – check it out here. During that wedding I really got to know Marissa well because she was my “go to” person at Lindsay’s wedding.
Pearl, my daughter, is also in the same class at the J with Todd’s nephew. Such a small world!

Marissa and Todd were married at the amazing Bullock Museum. They were the first ceremony held there ever! It was on the second floor and with the help of Filo, RK Group and Westbank we transformed the space into a romantic ceremony location. The guests were invited downstairs for cocktails and the reception. They partied the night away to Blind Date and had fun with the Say Cheese photo booth. Also, check out the fantastic cake from the amazing Simon Lee! The couple ended the night with a Pedicab farewell.

I love the Hyman family and having the chance to work with them on all three of their daughter’s weddings has been a blast.

Lauren and Tony got hitched at the always lovely Mercury Hall. These two changed my life by introducing me to East Side King. It is heaven in a steamed bun. On a more serious but still fun note, we were blessed with Lauren’s creativity and craftiness. Take a look at the pieces she created that made their day all the more special.

Jen and Clay’s dream of their perfect wedding started in Dallas, but came to life in Austin when they fell in love with Villa Antonia. The feel of this destination wedding was vintage, comfortable and romantic. The day of, it started to rain, but we weren’t going to let that rain on their parade! All of our amazing vendors are to thank for making their dreams of an outdoor wedding still become a reality, only indoors! We used white drapes to cover the band equipment and the florist added lots of beautiful greenery to bring the outdoors in. The decor was really cool and unique. Each tablescape showed the couples personality with details like scrabble piece table numbers, just because the couple loves a good game of Words with Friends, as well as ecclectic vintage pieces like driftwood, books, candles and silver tea pots and cups! They even made great use of spaces at the venue that sometimes might be forgotten. The benched corners were transformed into elegant and intimate couches with beautiful throw pillows where guests could settle in and enjoy the night. Jen and Clay are such a fun couple and they wanted their guests to have some fun too! With touches like an espresso bar and a late night snack of chocolate chip cookies and milk the guests felt right at home. They also had an airstream photobooth where guests could take pictures to remember the night! Their final send off was one of our favorites. They ended with a second line send off to their vintage limo and drove away a happy newlywed couple.

Last June we had the pleasure of working with Stephanie and John to plan their beautiful summer wedding at The Allan House, it was an amazing experience for everyone involved  Stephanie is a teacher, so she had  a busy schedule, her mom lives in Michigan, so we were on a mission to plan this wedding through MANY emails and phone calls. Stephanie has a love for mason jars, aqua frescas, lace, the color peach, and a good dance party. Her wedding incorporated all that and more. One of my favorite things about their wedding was the arbor that they got married under and was later where they sat during dinner. Our decor team lined the ledge behind them with candle filled mason jars which made for a beautiful glow all night. Congrats Stephanie and John, it was great working with you all and Ginny Hodges!

Blair and Josh tied the knot at Laguna Gloria this past December. There were a lot of things I loved about this wedding. I absolutely loved Blair’s dress, and as a fellow dog lover, I was also thrilled that their four-legged counterparts were able to participate all dressed up with really cute collars by Stems. I really enjoyed being a part of Blair and Josh’s special day. With delicious food by Crave and a dance party by Astounding Sounds, it truly was a wonderful celebration with their family and close friends. Thank you Sunny 16 for sharing the photos with us!
