Coincidence the groom is always to the right of the bride… I think not… or knot!
The tradition comes from long ago when the groom needed to protect his bride from anyone wanting to capture the bride. Most men’s right arm was their sword arm, which the family wanted to keep free just in case. Today, (hopefully) this is not true and people just stick with the tradition of bride on the left and the groom on the right.
